Scott Franssen"Scott Franssen has been a nonprofit professional in Colorado since 1997. He has worked for the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver, Central City Opera House Association, National Sports Center for the Disabled, and currently for Tennyson Center for Children. As a fundraiser for nonprofit organizations, Scott focuses on relationship-building between people and sees great value in communities and individuals working together to help the greater good.

As demonstrated by his dedication to working for nonprofit organizations, Scott actively seeks opportunities to serve and help others. In 2004, Scott was elected to the Board of Directors for the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce, a position he still maintains. The Greater Glendale Chamber membership has grown in that time from a modest 50 to almost 300.

Additionally, Scott joined the Glendale Planning Commission in 2011 to have more involvement in the future development of the City of Glendale. In April 2012, Scott was elected to the Glendale City Council, representing the community in which he lives and further demonstrating his willingness to serve.

Tennyson Center for Children was established in 1904 as an orphanage for children and today serves children, youth, and their families to overcome a variety of life crises, including abuse and neglect. Programs and services are about commitment to kids. Therapists, social workers, educators, and youth treatment counselors strive to help each child and family overcome barriers to happiness and success. As such, services remain child-centered, family-focused, and community-based.
