Election Information

Regular municipal elections to elect City officers and to determine ballot issues are held on the first Tuesday in April, in even-numbered years. The next Council election will be held on April 5, 2016 at:

7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Council Position Criteria

Persons wishing to run for a Council position must meet the following criteria:
  • You must be a citizen of the United States
  • You must be at least 21 years of age
  • You must have been a resident of the City of Glendale and a registered elector of the City for one year immediately preceding the filing of a nomination petition for such office or at the time of appointment to the office
  • You must not have been convicted of a felony or received a dishonorable discharge from the military service of the United States
