There’s a wealth of fun and activity in Glendale!

Our Parks Department tends approximately 17 acres of parks and streetscapes in the city. Our parks contain 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a volleyball court, 4 playgrounds, 3 restrooms, 3 picnic shelters, and plenty of grass for picnics and afternoon naps. We’re committed to providing safe and attractive facilities that cater to all age groups in our community. To encourage citizen involvement in protecting public facilities from vandalism of any kind, the city will award any person with information that leads to the conviction of any vandals.

To report vandals in our parks, just call the Police Dept. at 303-759-1511.

Creek Side Park

Creek Side Park is next to the Cherry Creek bike path. It is south off of Virginia Avenue on Clermont Street, one block west of Cherry Street. It offers a pavilion with four picnic tables, elec. (120 amp circuit), restrooms, drinking fountain, walking/jogging path, and two sandpit volleyball courts. Reserve This Park.

Mir Park

Mir Park is located at the corner of Elm Street and Center Avenue, south of the Goodwill Center on Leetsdale, east of Heritage Creek Apartments. We often host Rugby practices and YMCA camps here to preserve the integrity of the stadium’s turf. It offers a pavilion with four picnic tables, restrooms, drinking fountain, open plaza with lights, playground equipment, walking/jogging path, and a large open space. Reserve This Park.

Playa Del Carmen Park

The City of Glendale's newest recreational addition is Playa Del Carmen Park. A great place for the whole family to come, have a picnic and relax on a warm day. We are very excited to add this park and we feel that it is a great addtion to our ever changing community. We hope that you will enjoy the park as much as we do. Four Mile Historic Park

Four Mile Historic Park at 715 E. Forest Street. Four Mile Historic Park is the site of Denver's oldest standing house dating back to the late 1800s. The Four Mile House was an important stop on the major stagecoach line along the Cherokee Trail into Denver. The frontier log home, along with its furnishings, costumes, outbuildings and equipment are authentic for the period of 1859-1883.

Located in both Denver and Glendale, the 14-acre historic farm-in-the-city is open for tours and picnics year-round. Special events feature food from the era and costumed farm folks performing chores that life in the mid-1800s required. It’s also a very popular site for weddings.
