The City Clerk’s role is to ensure open and public government. The following is a list of records that are the Clerk’s responsibility

Municipal Records – The Clerk’s office is responsible for all municipal records. Records are available for public review on the second floor of the City Clerk's office, 950 South Birch Street.
Elections – Elections are held to elect City officials, to determine ballot questions, or both. Municipal elections are nonpartisan. The precinct numbers are 129 and 130. Glendale is located in Arapahoe County and participates in all Arapahoe County as well as state and national elections. The polling place is Glendale City Hall located at 950 S. Birch Street
Mayor and City Council – Elections are held on the first Tuesday of April in even numbered years. The next regular election will be held on April 1, 2008.
Any person who is a citizen of the United States, at least 21 years old, a resident of the City for at least one year immediately preceding the election, and a registered voter, may run for office or apply for an appointment to fill a vacancy.
Election Judges are appointed by the Glendale City Clerk. They are required to attend an election training and to be present at the polls from 6:00 a.m. until all ballots are counted and the results posted. If you are interested in serving as an Election Judge, please notify the City Clerk’s office.
Initiative and Referendum – An initiative allows electors the power to propose ordinances, with exceptions, to the City Council. Referendums give the electors the power to require, with exceptions, the City Council to reconsider or repeal an ordinance. In the event the Council fails to either adopt an initiative or repeal a referendum, the proposed ordinances are submitted to the electors for approval or rejection. Voter Registration – Glendale is a deputized branch of the Arapahoe County Election Division. The City Clerk’s office can register voters within the metropolitan area or provide voters with mail-in registration forms. Questions regarding the status of your registration should be directed to Arapahoe County at 303-795-4511. Liquor Licenses – The Clerk’s office is responsible for enforcement of liquor codes as well as processing all applications, which include new liquor licenses, transfers of ownership, renewals, special events licenses, and enforcement. Glendale strives to be proactive in training and assisting the liquor licensees in conducting their business in accordance with the Colorado Liquor Code
