Steven St. James is a well-known actor in the Denver Metropolitan area and has served on the planning commission since June, 2003. He has brought a fresh perspective to this commission and has played an integral role in developing the new Cherry Creek Drive South and the proposed riverwalk project. "My background in theater lends credibility for my input into the exciting proposed amphitheater and riverwalk."
Steven's background is in the theater and arts. He graduated from the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York City. He has performed off broadway plays and musicals for the last 15 years but is best known for his appearance in the Peerless Tire commercials that hit the airwaves this last year. He has been teaching acting classes for theater and the camera in the Denver area for the last 12 years. His next endeavor is to teach acting classes to children of the greater Glendale area through the YMCA.
Steven is a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.
"I would like to make this a more pedestrian friendly community. I would like to see the children walk to my class and learn about the arts. I am working closely with the Central City Opera Association which is located here in Glendale. I am also excited to start a partnership with the Glendale YMCA."
