Q: How do I get to Glendale? Do you have a map?

A: The easiest way to get to Glendale is to use I-25 and Colorado Blvd. as a reference point. Go north on Colorado Blvd. to Mississippi Ave. Turn east on Mississippi Ave. to Birch St. Turn north on Birch St. to Tennessee St. At Tennessee St. you will see the Municipal Complex on the northeast corner.


Q: Where can I enroll my child in school?

A: Glendale is part of the Cherry Creek School district. To register your child, you must visit the district's Admissions Office located at 9150 E. Union (corner of Yosemite and Union) in Greenwood Village (720-554-4916), or at 16400 E. Smoky Hill Road in Aurora (720-554-4916). Both offices are open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except that the Smoky Hill office is closed from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Various records and other documentation are required for registration. Please telephone either Admissions Office before going there in order to ask what you need to bring with you.

Depending upon your child's grade level, he or she is likely to attend pre-school and kindergarten enrichment classes at the Glendale Education Center (near the Glendale City Hall). Children in grades Kindergarten-2 attend Holly Ridge Primary School; grades 3-5 attend Holly Hills Elementary School; grades 6-9 attend West Middle School; and grades 10-12 attend Cherry Creek High School.


Q: Where can I get my child immunized?

A: One of the requirements for enrolling your child in school is proof that he or she has received proper immunizations. Contact the Tri-County Health Department for further information at 303-761-1340.


Q: How do I apply for WIC?

A: You may apply for this special nutrition program for women, infants, and children through the Tri-County Health Department. The closest offices are located in Aurora at 10330 E. Colfax Ave. (303-361-6010) and 15559 E. Iliff Ave. (303-745-5858).
How do I apply for assistance with my rent?

HUD Section 8 rental assistance may be available to qualified families. The Littleton Housing Authority administers the program for residents of Glendale and unincorporated areas of Arapahoe County. Contact 303-794-9623 and when listening to the menu enter 2222.
