  • The easiest way to get to Glendale is to use I-25 and Colorado Blvd. as a reference point. Go north on Colorado Blvd. to Mississippi Avenue. Turn east on Mississippi Avenue to Birch Street. Turn north on Birch Street to Tennessee Avenue. At Tennessee Avenue, you will see the Municipal Complex on the northeast corner.

  • The City of Glendale is an enclave surrounded on all sides by the City and County of Denver. Glendale is in Arapahoe County. Glendale's zip code 80246 is also the zip code for some nearby Denver addresses, which causes some confusion. If you are unsure about whether your address is located in Glendale, and thus Arapahoe County, contact the City Clerk at 303-639-4708.

  • The Building and Court window is open 8am to 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Wednesday the window is open 8am to 12pm.

  • We prefer an electronic submittal which can be achieved one of two ways: First, we have an online fillable Permit Application that will also allow you to upload a set of drawings.  Second, you may email the PDF version of the permit application and plans to BuildingPermits@glendale.co.us.  If the plans are too large to send via either method you may send using a file share service of your choice or we can give you a link to ours.

  • No, you will need a Glendale Contractor License to pull a permit.  However, you may submit both the license application and permit application together and we will process them simultaneously and then we can combine the fees so you will only have to make one payment.

  • Yes, but a VIN Verification is not the same as a Certified VIN Inspection. VIN Verifications, to register your car in Colorado for the first time having purchased it elsewhere, are a service provided free of charge to those who work or live in the City of Glendale. Just come by the police station and an officer will assist you. VIN Inspections, again, only for those who live or work in the City of Glendale, are done by appointment only. Please call (303) 759-1511 to schedule with a certified officer. State fee of $20 applies. All others, please contact the Colorado State Patrol at (303) 239-4545 to find a location near you.

  • Colorado law requires that vehicles pass an auto emissions test. 1982 and newer vehicles must be inspected every two years at an Air Care Colorado center.

  • State law requires that all new residents of Colorado, register and license their vehicles with the county clerk's office for the county in which they reside, within 30 days of establishing residency. Failure to do so may result in fines, penalties and/or denial of drivers' licenses. Glendale is located in Arapahoe County. Please call 303-795-4500 for further information.

  • Colorado Bureau of Investigations (CBI) has implemented a new Statewide Digital Fingerprinting Process known as CABS (Colorado Applicant Background Services). This program began Monday September 24, 2018. Glendale Police no longer does fingerprints for backgrounds, security guards or any other licenses.   • Identity theft continues to be a growing problem that is becoming increasingly more difficult to investigate and subsequently prosecute. After reporting the crime to us, at 303-759-1511,  do all you can do, by visiting the various federal and state resources, including this handy Repair Kit.
